My eldest used to sing 'Buffalo Soldier,' and she too completely mangled the words. I like the analogy Adele used about how this is like learning a new language, and we the parents will always have an accent, but to our kids it will be their native tongue. That made me wanna bawl. Plus the thing about raising our kids to be <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mensch" rel="nofollow">mensch</a>--humane and strong. Your kids say the funniest things.
