We came across these plastic glasses while packing for our move:

I have no idea where they came from. G is convinced they are my Dad’s. Because apparently my Dad looks like Benjamin Franklin.
They have officially been marked as a dress-up toy. Ben’s trash has become the twins’ treasure.

Three people now have told me how much South Park Buddy looks like Real Life Buddy. And it’s true! Buddy’s head is adorably (disproportionately?) large and round. I guess our family tree includes a historic lookalike and a cartoon character.
One of the funniest scenes from a movie EVER:
Stuart Mackenzie: WILLIAM! MOVE YOUR HEED! Look at the size of that boy’s heed.
Tony Giardino: Shhh!
Stuart: I’m not kidding, it’s like an orange on a toothpick!
Tony: Shhh, you’re going to give the boy a complex!
Stuart: Well, that’s a huge noggin’! That’s a virtual planetoid! Has its own weather system!
Tony: Shh!
Stuart: HEED! MOVE!
Stuart: HEED! PAPER! NOW! Move that melon of yours and get the paper if you can! Haulin’ that gargantuan cranium about. I’m not kidding, that boy’s head’s like Sputnik! Spherical but quite pointy at parts. …Now that was offsides, wasn’t it? He’ll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.

Hahaha, I always joke about LN’s unproportionally large noggin’… especially when she can’t get shirts over her gigantic head (or “rather bulbous head” - a character played by James Spader describing George Costanza’s head on Seinfeld. True, I’m a Seinie…).
aww! that’s so funny! but don’t point that out to Buddy, it might scar him for life! (more therapy?)…
when i was younger, my head was abnormally larger than most 2-yr-old’s heads (in comparison to their body). my head was heavy then and i used to fall because my body couldn’t balance it properly. i would always fall on the floor–head first. my mom made me a “helmet” out of cloth and lots of cotton and wrap it around my head (think “toad” from super mario brothers! the exact pattern too! red polka dots!)…
i’m not scarred from those memories. i think i’ve done a really good job at blocking that time of my life out. (save money on therapy!)
good times
Alright, that photo is RIDICULOUSLY adorable. Definitely very Ben Frankling. But you know what they say? Everything old eventually comes back in style. Too cute.
Hey now, that’s inventive! Get it? Get it? Haaaaaa …
uh, i ordered the large? love that movie!
Maddie and Riley have huge heads, and Riley’s is very nice and round. They are both 95th percentile for head size! Must be a sign of greatness for all of our large-headed kids.
We are a big-headed family. Classic bucket heads.
I love LOVE that scene. My favorite and we replay it with our son when he stops in front of the tv to zone out for two seconds.
A belated thanks for the comment a little while back. I read your comments over at the superha’s all the time. Those glasses are hilarious. I love them!
