Hey, thanks for visiting my blog. I really appreciated your comment, though I don't know if I deserve such admiration. (I'm just trying to be more open and let go.)

I can certainly relate to no. 1 and 3 (ew). I do 2 too! Although I've never lifted my arm straight up to smack myself awake. That's pretty darn creative.

Oops -- sorry Mama Nabi! I looked in your 'tagged' section and didn't see it, so I was hoping I was the first. Oh well. I'm going to go dig for it... :)

(And, no hints towards weirdness... just always love what you write!)

To the druncle word lovers: I wish I could claim the naming. But a friend/wedding guest made it up, and it just stuck. He's not even a real uncle. Of course, drajushi just doesn't work as well.

I did one a while ago... thanks for thinking of me, though - hm, for the weird list, I get tagged more than once. (starting to get self-conscious...)
LOVE the literary abuse thing as well - my favorite way to fall asleep is with a book (sad, I know). My sister has a weird bird phobia - so she's not alone, eh?
(Oh, and ditto what Rachel said about "druncle" - everyone's got one, right? Actually, on my mom's side, all 3 are druncles!)

Yeah, good thing you weren't at the park with us yesterday. :)

BTW, I love your use of the word "druncle" and the accompanying picture on your anniversary post. Ha! I'm definitely adding that word to my vocabulary.

Oh god--birds. I don't have a problem with them specifically, but you've reminded me of when we used to get bats in our house in the summers. I was literally down on the floor, blanket over my head, screaming for my very brave mother (who beat them to death with a broom if she could swat them hard enough to make them fall). I was way too old to be acting like that but there was no way I could help her. My poor mom; I know she was probably just as scared of the bats as I was, but she was filled with that super-human-mom strength to attack them for us.
I love the literary abuse. Holding your arm up in the air like that creates such a hilarious picture in my mind.
